COOKING CLASSES

Malcolm is a food lover and enjoys new recipes and discovering new ingredients and flavours. At present he is researching the origins of the Tuscan kitchen and is going to publish a book of traditional recipes in the near future. He organizes cooking classes held in our estate. He has found that tailoring classes to your desires has been most successful, so write to us letting us know what you are interested in and we will structure a course to suit you.

OLIVE OIL
In Autumn you can try your hand picking some of the olives from our olive grove and then see how they are processed. We also visit a centuries old private olive press where the olives were once crushed under gigantic stone wheels. We have an aperitivo together with hot bruschetta dripping with freshly pressed oil.

WINE TASTING
We can have a day trip to Montalcino to taste some wines. We can also visit the cellars of several of the top Brunello producers. From there we can visit the romanesque Abbey of S.Antimo where Gregorian chants are still sung. We can visit the heart of Chianti, Brolio Castle, where the Ricasoli family, who still own the castle, revolutionised the production of Chianti making it one of the world’s premier wines. We visit the cellars and the family’s private collection and sit down for wine tasting with an on-site sommelier. Then we visit the Abbey of Coltibuono.

• THERMAL BATHS A relaxing day spent at S.Giovanni (15min) bathing in the hot pools, massages, beauty treatments, etc. Or bathing under the stars on Saturday nights.

• YOGA

(Min 6 people) We can have yoga under the olives together with our teacher in the morning, or while contemplating the beautiful sunset.

• MASSAGE

You can have relaxing massages here at Finerri.

• HIKING AND BIKING

Around us it is perfect for hiking and biking enjoing the silence, the peace and the beautiful countryside. 2 bikes available for guests, more to rent nearby.

A 9 hole golf club within 30min. You can be independent or join Malcolm, who is a member.

(Min 4 people) We visit a private old mill, the ruins of a medieval village only reachable by 4×4, we have lunch at a local trattoria, we visit a farm of “cinta senese”, a local breed of black and white pig.
