Located at a height of about 300 mt this farmhouse extends for 35 hectares between Florence and Greve in Chianti.
It’s the first farm to open its “gates” on the smiling hills of “Chianti Classico”. The old nucleus of habitation was constructed in the XVI century, but it was only in 1849, with the extension of the farm house and the construction of the villa, that the Bucciolini family started their agricultural activity, which they continue to do today.
Only 9 km from Florence on the historical via Chiantigiana to Siena, the farmhouse is the first agricultural farm to open its gates to the sweet hills of Chianti Classico, where the perfect harmony of the slopes, hills and views make this land a place of simple but incredible charm.
Currently the farmhouse, managed by Federico Bucciolini, extends to 35 hectares cultivated with vinyards and olive trees, offering in addition hospitality inside of his farmhouse composed of 10 single apartments delicately restored respecting the standards of the original Chiantigiana farmhouse: terracotta, wood and stone. It also has a swimming pool.
Over the last years the cellars were restored with great passion, with the objective of producing high quality wine, that combines modern technologies and antique traditions famous all over the world.
The farm house offers its clients 8 apartments delicately restored respecting the original typical tuscan farmhouse.
While the apartments mantain the characteristics of the old farmhouse intact, they are designed with every type of comfort:

CANAIOLO – two roomed apartment composed of: kitchen, bathroom, hall, living room with two sleeping places.
SANGIOVETO – two roomed apartment composed of: kitchen, bathroom, hall, living room with two or three sleeping places.
CANAIOLO + SANGIOVETO – large three roomed apartment composed of: kitchen, 2 bathrooms, 2 halls, living room with 4 or 5 sleeping places.
ROVERUSTO – two roomed apartment composed of: kitchen, bathroom, hall, living room with two or three sleeping places.
MAMMOLO – two roomed apartment composed of: kitchen, bathroom, hall, living room with 2 or three sleeping places.
CABERNET two roomed apartment composed of: hall, living room with 2 or 3 sleeping places, cooking facilities, small bedroom with bunk beds, bathrooms, private garden.
MALVAGIO is a two roomed apartment composed of: hall, living room with two or three sleeping places, kitchen, bathroom and private garden.
COLOMBAIA is a three roomed apartment composed of: living room with separate kitchen, two double bedrooms and two bathrooms.
MERLOT is composed of living room with sofa-bed, kitchen, bathroom with a shower, double bed room, and an intermediate room with a bed.
The kitchen
During the summer season we occasionally organize typical tuscan dinner. Products like vegetables, fruit, eggs, and chickens all come from the farm. The menù is left inside the apartment so that you can confirm your presence the day before, allowing us to cook your meal for you.
In the summer time we lay the tables in the garden of the villa, while when the weather doesn’t allow the dinners are served in the impressive main hall inside the master house.
Wine tasting
Periodically we organize tasting events and visits in our cellar, during which it’s possibile to taste our wine and discover our methods of production.
Trekking and Fishing
In your free time you may take long walks in the wonderful forest of the farm or dedicate yourself to fishing carp and perch in the private lake in the middle of the pine forest.
Four trekking trail pass through our olive grove, our vineyard and our wood.
They are also suitable for ski walking.

Flora and Fauna
Two enclosed hectares surround the private lake of the farm, in which, as well as fishing, you may come in close contact with the animals living there. Mute ducks, wild ducks, swans, and goats live in this oasis in total freedom and at ease with the presence of our guests who often spend part of their free time with them. In the eight hectares of forest you can see many of the species of tree typical of our central tuscan areas: Pine, Cypresse, Juniper, together with oak, broom and many other species of trees.
Golf
The prestigious golf of Ugolino is within 1 km: a natural course, with 18 holes, designed and built in 1933 on the rolling hills of Chianti, taking advantage in the best way of the best natural characteristics of the area.
Tennis
The Chianti Country Club Ugolino is within 1 Km, where tennis courts are available at a fixed price.
Riding School
In Figline Valdarno area, less than 20 km away, you can find the Old Texas Riding School, where it is possibile to take classes of horse riding or to go for wonderful horse rides.
Ballon flights
You can fly like the wind in a way which preserves the romanticism and adventure spirit of the art of flying.
